About the role

  • Identify and target prospective GC's, businesses, and property groups in commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors; develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline across North Carolina
  • Conduct market research to stay current with industry trends and competitor offerings
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients; understand client needs and create tailored electrical service solutions
  • Serve as point of contact to ensure high satisfaction and service delivery; address client concerns promptly throughout project lifecycle
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations; develop detailed proposals including timelines and pricing; negotiate terms and close deals; manage expectations post-sale
  • Coordinate with Budget & Estimating and Leadership teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Track and report on sales activities, client interactions, and project progress; meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Develop sales campaigns and promotional strategies; share best practices and support team development; stay informed on compliance standards and industry regulations affecting electrical contracting

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B outside sales, account executive, or relationship management experience
  • Proven experience selling services (not products), especially in the electrical, mechanical, or construction sectors
  • Relationship-driven with strong closing ability and client-first mentality
  • Experience with outside sales and service-based selling
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen; self-starter comfortable working independently
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent communicator
  • Familiarity with the Raleigh, NC market and surrounding regions
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
