Determine how to best use resources to meet program schedules and goals
Manage the day-to-day coordination of your team’s activities, taking full responsibility for results, including costs and staffing
Develop and administer program schedules and performance requirements; assist in annual and quarterly planning
Work with technical program managers to develop repeatable Organizational Change Management (OCM) framework and practices
Oversee multiple large programs and cross-functional initiatives; proactively manage risks, dependencies, and escalations
Reallocate resources as needed to balance demand and capacity across the portfolio; make sound decisions to avoid unnecessary costs
Develop PMO playbooks and introduce consistency practices; drive adherence to governance and introduce maturity assessments
Recommend and establish changes to policies and procedures that affect the immediate organization
Lead and mentor a team of 4-5 program managers; provide guidance and act as a trusted advisor to help them meet schedules and resolve technical problems
Build a strong succession pipeline and develop future leaders
Manage and negotiate stakeholder expectations across multiple business units; facilitate sessions to balance conflicting priorities
Advise business unit directors on roadmap decisions, delivery capacity, and risks, influencing investment decisions at the business unit level
Requirements
3+ years experience managing small teams
5+ years experience in program and project management
Proficiency in stakeholder management, communications planning and development, and selling the benefits of your work
Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
Experience defining and measuring success metrics and monitoring change progress
Ability to identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation plans
Excellent oral and written communication, as well as strong documentation and reporting skills
Flexibility and adaptability; experience trying different approaches and adapting as you go
Strong competency with program management tools like Confluence, JIRA, Asana
Experience working with multiple time zones and cross functional teams
Excellent scheduling and meeting coordination skills
Bonus: Proven working experience as a program manager in the technology sector; experience with both waterfall and Agile development methodologies; experience with major platforms (Salesforce, Oracle EBS, SAP, etc.); PMP/PgMP and Agile certifications; Fluency in organizational change management methodologies (Prosci, etc.)
