About the role
- Support indirect sourcing initiatives within warehousing and 3PL categories and execute strategic vision for sourcing, contracting, and supplier management
- Implement and execute strategic sourcing initiatives including supply market analysis, strategy development, RFP management, bid analysis, supplier negotiations
- Build strong relationships across business units to develop sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals
- Manage supplier selection processes using market analysis, RFPs, eAuctions, and data-driven approaches
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts while ensuring proper document control practices
- Oversee supplier relationships to ensure they meet quality, service, and cost requirements
- Monitor category market trends and indexes to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Requirements
- MUST have experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiations specifically with warehousing vendors
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with a focus warehousing and 3PL functions
- CPSM (Certified Professional Supply Chain Manager) preferred; PMP or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, tables), SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, and contract management tools (Ariba, Oracle Contracts)
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional negotiation, contract drafting, and supplier relationship management skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project deliverables
- Detail-oriented with a data-driven approach to market insights and proposals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working independently while driving change management initiatives
- eCommerce and warehouse capex experience strongly preferred
