About the role
- Take ownership of delivering complex, large-scale software and services projects for public and private healthcare customers.
- Plan, scope, and deliver projects to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee budgets, risks, quality, and stakeholder engagement from handover through to completion.
- Lead and motivate a team of implementation staff, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Manage risk, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
- Monitor progress and provide clear, consistent reporting to stakeholders.
- Ensure financial control and benefits realisation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage a varied portfolio of projects with contract values ranging from £10k to £8M.
Requirements
- Degree-level education in IT, business, or a related subject.
- At least three years’ experience delivering substantial, customer-facing projects.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and contractual responsibilities.
- Experience working to ISO9000 or other operational standards.
- Previous experience in public sector health or social care projects (preferred).
- Awareness of technologies such as MS Office, Oracle, SQL Server, and Cloud platforms (preferred).
