About the role
- Design and consistently execute standard operating model for the division
- Ensure seamless BAU delivery: process transactions, daily prices, security setup, meet service levels and production workflows
- Support execution of strategic business initiatives, workflow design and department objectives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and cost-effective completion of special projects
- Build strong relationships with functional managers and develop team product/business knowledge
- Ensure steady completion of daily tasks and align backups across servicing functions
- Maintain quality assurance on critical functions and maintain productivity standards
- Evaluate integrity of vendor supplied pricing data against market movements and alternative sources
- Manage and process production tasks through market activity assessment and analysis
- Assist with ad-hoc requests, pricing control assessments and systems/procedure enhancements
- People management: development, attrition monitoring, training, objective setting, performance appraisal and recognition
- Maintain and publish weekly and monthly KPIs and participate in onshore discussions
- Manage relationships with internal teams, act as escalation contact, send early warning reports for workload impacts
- Identify and manage risk and control breakdowns and ensure audit/control adherence
- Work with internal/external auditors on SOX, SOC1 or regulatory audits and control analysis
- Support other markets during off hours and expected to work various shifts
Requirements
- 10+ years experience (Grade/Level: C14 / Ops / 10+ Years)
- Bachelor’s degree in business related major or equivalent experience
- Graduate-level courses in accounting, finance or management viewed favourably
- Previous Pricing or reference data experience within an investment bank
- Strong knowledge of asset pricing theory and probability
- Practical experience in fixed income pricing and reference data
- Familiarity with derivatives, fixed income, equities and various financial product types
- Understanding of NAV calculation components
- Experience evaluating vendor pricing and familiarity with vendors (Bloomberg, Reuters etc)
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask
- Proficient in MS Office Applications, emphasis on Excel and Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- People and resource management experience (performance management, coaching, training)
- Experience with controls, SOX/SOC1 or regulatory audit processes
- Ability to work various shifts to support APAC, EMEA, and NAM operations
- Ability to act as escalation point and manage high priority requests
- Ability to manage projects and implement process/system enhancements
- Organized with excellent follow-up and prioritization abilities
