Own commercial relationships with suppliers across Raw Materials and Active ingredients with a global remit
Lead sourcing and cost reduction activities for high-volume and specialist raw materials across multiple Third Party Manufacturers (TPMs)
Negotiate direct deals with RM suppliers and with TPMs on unit cost of key raw materials to deliver directed buy cost management and savings
Project manage ad-hoc support projects and define sourcing strategy for Raw Materials and Actives across the business
Work closely with Product, Regulatory, Supply Chain Planning, and Activation teams to source in line with strategy and minimise risk from crash reforms
Provide Activation Gate support and investigate TPM-driven RM change requests to protect existing materials
Horizon scan via manufacturer/distributor relationships to map RM risks and plan regulatory impacts with suppliers and regulatory team
Support Packaging Procurement Category Manager on plastic commodity cost trends
Ensure sustainable and competitive sourcing solutions for NPD with minimum 3-year lifecycle from RM supplier/distributor perspective
Define and manage VAVE pipeline for key raw materials in coordination with Regulatory and Product teams
Act as key commercial relationship holder (SRM), assess supplier performance, and hold suppliers accountable
Redefine onboarding processes for directed buys ensuring regulatory and ESG compliance
Lead contract negotiations with new and existing suppliers in collaboration with Legal and internal stakeholders
Develop and implement comprehensive category strategy including market analysis, supplier evaluation, and gap/risk mitigation
Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities, monitor market indices and commodity pricing trends
Support operations as first point of escalation after TPM supply chain, quality and NPD for quality and cost claims/issues
Drive sustainable sourcing initiatives and stay updated on import/export tariffs and industry regulations
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, NPD, Pack Development, ESG, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance and Tax
Work with PUIG teams to identify and implement sourcing synergies, joint MSAs and business reviews
Requirements
Proven experience in global procurement/strategic sourcing within luxury cosmetics or personal care
Appropriate procurement experience working within a fast-paced environment
Must be from within the Luxury Cosmetic or Personal Care industry
Experience using Monday.com and PowerBi
Deep raw materials (RM) market knowledge, global market dynamics and pricing trends, including index tracking methodologies
Strong experience buying colour cosmetics and skincare products; knowledge of supplier capabilities and manufacturing processes
Must be able to demonstrate significant cost savings within this category
Analytical mindset and advanced Excel analytical expertise (VLOOKUPs, nested IF statements, pivot table filters)
Familiarity with quality assurance and compliance standards in the cosmetics industry
Familiarity with risk management, contract negotiation, and legal aspects related to sourcing
Low-Cost Country Sourcing background is a distinct advantage
Comfortable working with ambiguous and/or incomplete information
Use and implementation of ‘source to contract’ e-sourcing tools is a distinct advantage
