Therapist

• To provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients of diverse backgrounds who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges.
• Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine the mental health needs of clients and establish an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy sessions using techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and other relevant modalities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for clients, ensuring goals are aligned with clinical best practices and adjusted as necessary based on progress.
• Offer crisis intervention and stabilization for clients experiencing acute psychological distress, including safety planning and risk assessments.
• Work closely with psychiatrists/APRNs, primary care providers, mental health professionals, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to client well-being.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, in accordance with regulatory, billing requirements and organizational standards.
• Support clients in accessing additional resources such as but not limited to housing, employment, legal services, or financial assistance as needed for comprehensive care.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical standards in mental health care delivery.

Licensed Mental Health Therapist

• Treatment to include range of motion and mobility exercise, EMS, ultrasound, whirlpool, therapeutic heat and cold, cervical and pelvic traction, soft tissue massage, electrical nerve stimulation, progressive resistive exercise and muscle re-education, neurological facilitation and inhibition techniques, orthotic and prosthetic iontophoresis and in-home therapy.
• Under direction and supervision of a PT, treats patients as ordered and reviewed by physician.
• Educates patients, families and caregivers in treatment and expected outcomes.
• Provides timely, personal supervision of support staff.
• Provides In-Home services to patients as ordered.
• Documents treatment and reports patient progress and response to PT and physician as needed.
• Promotes profession and department through participation in in-services, health fairs, trade shows, community presentations and community service organizations.
• Participates in the performance improvement process by identifying opportunities for improvement and taking action to improve patient care services.
• Assists clinical instruction of PTA students through university affiliations.
• Supervises job shadow and high school student interns.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
