About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides professional nursing care for office patients following the guidelines of the Illinois Nursing Act.
- Collects patient health data for physician and enters into the EMR.
- Analyzes assessment data in determining nursing diagnoses.
- Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient and develops a plan of care to attain these outcomes.
- Implements interventions identified in the plan of care and evaluates patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Assigns ICD-10 codes for billing and monitors CPT coding for proper documentation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure required.
- Previous Medical Office experience preferred.
- BLS Required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained throughout employment at CGH.
- Thorough knowledge of medical equipment and instruments helpful.
- Prior experience in drawing blood is preferred.
- Able to assess and interpret data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s needs and provide the appropriate care, including age-related care, needed by the pediatric, adolescent and/or geriatric patient group.
