About the role

  • Support the Property Manager in cultivating a motivated, high-performing team and lead by example
  • Promote a friendly, service-oriented office environment prioritizing resident satisfaction
  • Drive leasing efforts to achieve and maintain target occupancy (goal: 99%) and implement leasing/renewal/retention strategies
  • Actively conduct outreach marketing on campus and with local businesses and support annual marketing plan execution
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the property and local competitors through regular market research
  • Ensure digital and print marketing materials are current and aligned with brand standards
  • Coordinate and promote resident events and community-building functions and represent the property at university functions
  • Deliver first-class service to residents, prospects, and parents and resolve resident concerns professionally
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, university contacts, and the broader community
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in property management software and process leases and administrative paperwork
  • Support property upkeep and curb appeal by identifying areas for improvement
  • Assist in achieving NOI targets through effective leasing and cost management and support rent collection efforts to meet/exceed a 98% collection rate
  • Proactively identify ways to improve revenue and reduce expenses in alignment with budget goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 2–5 years of experience in student or multifamily housing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with property management software, preferably Entrata
  • Familiarity with both market-rate and LIHTC programs is a plus
  • Understanding and adherence to Fair Housing and EEO laws
  • Experience in hiring, staff development, budgeting, marketing strategy, and scheduling
  • Motivated, people-centered leadership skills and ability to build high-performing teams
  • Ability to conduct outreach marketing and represent property at university functions
  • Willingness to undergo criminal background and drug screening
