About the role

  • Reports to Director of SMB Sales.
  • Build, coach, and lead a team of SMB Account Executives (hire, train, develop).
  • Drive new business by ensuring effective outbound prospecting, consultative selling, and closing merchants.
  • Set and enforce daily/weekly activity expectations (calls, demos, proposals) and maintain healthy pipeline.
  • Provide coaching and development through 1:1s, call reviews, and roleplays to improve prospecting, discovery, and closing skills.
  • Ensure quota achievement and consistent team performance against monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Refine and implement repeatable, scalable sales processes in HubSpot (CRM) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation campaigns and Customer Success on merchant onboarding and adoption.
  • Share market insights and customer feedback to inform product and go-to-market strategy.
  • Foster a high-energy, competitive, and supportive sales culture that celebrates wins and learns from losses.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of B2B sales experience with 3-5 years in a leadership or player/coach role, preferably in SMB sales.
  • Proven ability to consistently hit or exceed quotas (individual and team).
  • Experience selling into SMB or local business segments; logistics, SaaS, or marketplace sales experience is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on CRM experience — HubSpot strongly preferred.
  • Strong operational discipline with the ability to track KPIs, coach to metrics, and forecast accurately.
  • Excellent communication, motivation, and leadership skills.
  • Startup experience or ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
