About the role

  • Trusted advisor to prospective customers during the sales process, bringing product expertise, strategic vision, and best practices
  • Lay strong foundations beginning pre-sales for long-term partnership between Braze and customers
  • Serve as a technical thought leader across industry verticals, customer types, and geographic markets
  • Partner with Braze’s sales, marketing, security, and product teams
  • Mentor Solutions Consultants and provide technical leadership
  • Operate at the intersection of technology and storytelling to demonstrate how Braze’s platform delivers value
  • Conduct pre-sales engagements, demos, and technical validation; support sales to build prospective customer confidence
  • Travel up to 50% at peak times to support sales and customer engagements

Requirements

  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills coupled with unparalleled follow up skills
  • Team player
  • High level of intellectual curiosity
  • Experience selling into accounts with a sophisticated Pre-sales Consulting or Sales Engineering team
  • Domain knowledge of two or more of the following: SaaS, Mobile, APIs, Marketing Automation, Direct Marketing, Marketing Analytics or Programming (even just HTML)
  • Experience in Pre-sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Customer Success
  • Ability to mentor Solutions Consultants
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% at peak times
