About the role
- Lead the development effort within assigned workstream, recommending technical designs and developing solutions for complex user stories
- Assign user stories to mid-level developers and system administrators and provide guidance to ensure quality output
- Lead design discussions with clients and translate requirements into technical specifications
- Develop and optimize complex workflows, business rules, UI policies, and Service Portal configurations
- Build and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, and third-party systems
- Mentor and provide technical oversight to junior and mid-level developers
- Follow Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Produce technical documentation and participate in client-facing design sessions
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with ServiceNow, including core platform and one or more advanced modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SPM, SecOps, GRC)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification required
- At least 1 ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) is required
- Proficient in scripting and development such as JavaScript
- Experience with Integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, and third-party systems
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and practical implementation within ServiceNow
- Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize complex workflows, business rules, and UI policies
- Demonstrated experience in configuring Service Portal
- Ability to lead design discussions, translate requirements into technical specifications, and mentor junior developers
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks and tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proactive in design discussions with the client
- Experience in writing technical documents
- US Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of experience
- ITIL Certification
- Exposure to architectural frameworks
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
