About the role
- Serve as the Enterprise Architect for ServiceNow implementations across multiple federal government clients, ensuring solutions scale across large, complex environments.
- Provide strategic technical leadership and thought leadership on enterprise architecture, IT modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead enterprise-wide architecture reviews to ensure alignment of ServiceNow solutions with overarching IT roadmaps, agency strategies, and government-wide mandates.
- Define and enforce governance, architecture standards, and design principles to drive consistency across ServiceNow implementations at scale.
- Translate complex business, functional, and technical requirements into holistic, integrated enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Design and oversee cross-platform integrations ensuring interoperability and data integrity.
- Conduct detailed code, configuration, and solution reviews to maintain platform quality, security, and performance.
- Provide strategic guidance on platform optimization, including automation, AI/ML capabilities, and advanced workflow design.
- Drive platform scalability and resilience strategies, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning in mission-critical environments.
- Lead enterprise migration strategies, including legacy system modernization, CMDB optimization, and data migration to ServiceNow.
- Develop reference architectures, solution accelerators, and reusable patterns to improve implementation speed and quality across government programs.
- Partner with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and technical teams to align ServiceNow strategy with enterprise business goals.
- Ensure solutions comply with federal cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, Zero Trust) and government IT standards.
- Support strategic planning and roadmapping, providing high-level estimates, technical approaches, and solution options for enterprise initiatives.
- Mentor and coach architects, developers, and consultants; build and promote a center of excellence (CoE) model for ServiceNow within the organization.
- Act as a trusted advisor to government clients, influencing enterprise IT strategy and digital transformation agendas.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience serving as a ServiceNow Architect at the enterprise level.
- 5+ years of ServiceNow platform development experience within medium to large enterprise or government settings.
- 7+ years of experience in application development with a strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Demonstrated government consulting experience, including working with federal clients, understanding procurement processes, and navigating agency requirements.
- Proven hands-on experience with multiple ServiceNow modules, including but not limited to ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, HAM, and SAM.
- Strong JavaScript proficiency and familiarity with modern open-source development tools and frameworks.
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, integrations, and performance best practices.
- Solid knowledge of networking, cloud, and infrastructure in secure government environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical conversations with both stakeholders and development teams.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and manage competing project demands in a fast-paced government consulting environment.
