About the role
- Assist Boeing Global Services maintenance efforts at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar on a long-term assignment
- Assemble, disassemble and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components
- Perform routine and complex troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair faulty components
- Fabricate and modify aerospace products according to specifications
- Oversee assembly, disassembly, or overhaul activities
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment and perform validation/verification testing of systems and components
- Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (repairs, test results, modifications, inspection results)
- Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements
- Oversee training and work under general direction
- Work variable shifts as required, including weekends, overtime, and possible rotating shifts
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience with fighter aircraft maintenance and or management
- Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
- Some positions may also be rotating shifts
- Experience on military fighter platforms (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-5, F-14, or F-15) preferred
- Experience with aircraft systems including avionics, flight controls, hydraulics, fuel and/or integrated vehicle management systems preferred
- Performs routine troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components
- Fabrication and modification skills for aerospace products
- Ability to meet international assignment health requirements (candidate and accompanying family)
- Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country
- Employment contingent on satisfying all labor and immigration formalities of the assignment country
- Offer contingent upon clearances from International Health Services and receipt of visa/work permit (applies to family members)
- Must meet export control compliance requirements: be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required (interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start required)
