About the role

  • Manage a team of Estimating Analysts responsible for developing estimates, cost models, and business cases in support of Boeing Commercial strategies, new airplane programs, and production system initiatives
  • Oversee estimating deliverables, including change estimates, program directives, complex business cases, and cost modeling analyses
  • Collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders to ensure optimal cost and quality outcomes
  • Support daily activities including Statement of Work (SOW) development, management reviews, problem-solving, and employee development
  • Provide oversight and approval of economic analyses for business and engineering decision-making (e.g., trade studies, technical option evaluations)
  • Review estimates, business cases, costs, and pricing across design, build, retrofit, and aftermarket support stages
  • Approve analyses and provide recommendations in support of pricing and estimating decisions, including risk and financial recommendations
  • Guide team members in developing cost models for engineering and finance use
  • Develop strategies and structured approaches to problem-solving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Provide strong leadership to strengthen team performance and support organizational goals

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a finance-related position (e.g., Estimating, Financial Operations, Revenue Management, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA))
  • 3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams
  • Experience in estimating with demonstrated leadership skills (preferred)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and engage with leadership
  • Adaptability to change, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Export control compliance: must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
