Engineer

• Motion planning development is needed to support customers who need a full stack autonomy solution to meet their safety and productivity needs. Our customers operate in unstructured environments, indoors and outdoors, in a range of environments and weather conditions. You will draw on the latest advancements in motion planning while creating novel advanced algorithms as we learn what we need to do to help our customers meet their goals. Algorithm design, software implementation, software testing, verification and validation, and in field testing and evaluation are all part of the job. You’ll be doing all these activities in a way that allows BlueSpace to scale to new customers while ensuring our current customers get what they need. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll work with other engineers across the stack to identify what capabilities we need to delight our customers and continuously learn and iterate so we can deliver an end product that exceeds expectations.

Motion Planning Engineer

Software Engineer

• Develop and execute the engineering vision and strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, ensuring timely of features and enhancement.
• Provide technical direction and architectural guidance for development projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

VP Engineering

Account Manager

• Serve as the primary point of contact and technical expert for partner management matters, ensuring timely and effective communication, issue resolution, and overall customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain a trusted advisor relationship with key partners, customer stakeholders, and executive leadership by providing technical expertise, strategic guidance, insights, and support.
• Oversee and implement projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with technical and business objectives.
• Manage and communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives and phase gates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactively identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and regularly communicate these opportunities to the executive team to support strategic decisions.

Technical Partner Manager

• Develop, deploy, and scale both online and offline state-estimation algorithms for real-world robotic systems.
• Build software, tools, and processes that accelerate your rate of experimentation, monitor performance, and inform you what to try next.
• Work with large quantities of sensor data on challenging real-world problems.
• Collaborate with the team to deploy your work in a mission-critical environment.

State Estimation, Mapping Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer

• Take ownership of the infrastructure in support of developing and deploying Machine Learning models for Autonomous Vehicles
• Architect and deploy cloud and on-prem ML training and evaluation infrastructure
• Own the data management pipelines, from ingestion and storage, to model training and evaluation that span vehicle compute, cloud, and on-prem
• Change model training code to take advantage of the better data storage techniques and formats you propose
• Evaluate and implement methods, software, and hardware for model deployment onto the test and production vehicles
• Develop systems and processes to improve transition of models from research to production while balancing cost
• Participate in model design, research and set requirements to model design that ensure their successful deployment
• Own and deliver projects end-to-end
• Optional: be able to hire, manage, or at least mentor other engineers who join this project when growth is needed

ML Infrastructure Engineer

Systems Engineer

• System engineering at BlueSpace involves all aspects of a project, both technically and programmatically.  You’ll meet with customers early and often to communicate BlueSpace’s capabilities, understand customer needs, generate requirements, and update plans when needed.
• Based on what you learn, you’ll collaborate with the engineering team to develop a system architecture that meets our customers’ needs, identify R&D areas, build out the hardware and software solution, and perform verification and validation of the system before customer delivery.
• To ensure we exceed customers’ expectations, you’ll support the engineering team in deriving component and performance requirements that lead to successful execution and create tests and testing pipelines that help the team rapidly iterate and catch issues early.
• Along the way, you’ll discover new product opportunities that will excite existing customers and bring in new ones.

Robotics System Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain autonomous driving simulation platforms, including physics-based simulations and sensor simulations.
• Implement realistic vehicle, sensor, and environmental models within the simulation framework.
• Design and execute simulation experiments to validate and verify the performance of perception, planning, and control algorithms.
• Collaborate with software engineers, robotics engineers, and data scientists to integrate simulation tools into the development pipeline.
• Work closely with the autonomous driving algorithm team to understand their testing requirements and design simulation scenarios accordingly.
• Analyze simulation results and provide actionable insights to improve the performance and reliability of autonomous driving systems.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in simulation technology and incorporate them into our development processes.
• Implement realistic virtual environments, including roads, traffic, weather conditions, and sensor models, to replicate real-world driving scenarios.
• Integrate autonomous driving software into the simulation platform and ensure seamless interaction between the two systems.
• Perform validation and verification of autonomous driving algorithms by conducting simulated tests and analyzing results.

Simulation Engineer

Hardware Engineer

• Design/develop custom hardware enclosure solutions for electronic systems used in autonomous vehicles.
• Utilize off-the-shelf components to create efficient and cost-effective hardware designs.
• Identify and select suitable vendors for sourcing components and materials.
• Oversee and supervise vendor activities to ensure quality and timely delivery of components.
• Ensure hardware designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform testing and validation of hardware solutions to ensure durability and performance in rugged environments.
• Conduct failure analysis and implement improvements to enhance hardware reliability.

Machine Learning Engineer

• Develop deep learning models for a variety of autonomy applications (relevant areas: object detection, classification, segmentation, behavior prediction, end-to-end driving).
• Research, design, improve, and implement state-of-the-art ML algorithms and deploy them onto self-driving vehicles and in datacenters.
• Identify or collect the required datasets and implement data processing pipelines.
