Mechanical Engineer

• Participate in the entire design cycle of next-generation umbilical systems from a mechanical and fluid systems standpoint, including conceptual and detailed design, trade studies, structural analysis, development testing and qualification
• Generate 3-D models, component drawings, assembly drawings, and interface control documents with application of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
• Design mechanical umbilical hardware including disconnect mechanisms, attach/release mechanisms, fluid couplings, seals, and structural interfaces
• Create documentation for assembly and testing of development and flight hardware
• Participate in subsystem level testing including planning, execution, data reduction and analysis
• Develop component specifications and manage suppliers
• Provide manufacturing and production support including design for manufacturability reviews and integration support

Mechanical Engineer II

Systems Engineer

• Work with the program’s Lead Systems Engineer to ensure compliance with design standards, processes, and general best practices.
• Apply a variety of technical principles and tools in Systems Engineering such as CONOPs development, requirements definition and analysis, and interface definition.
• Decompose high-level requirements into lower-level system architecture, system design requirements, and functional block diagrams.
• Work with subsystems to ensure proper requirements definition, verification and validation plans, consistency with system and mission objectives.
• Coordinate with specialty engineering functions in support of subsystem development teams.
• Oversee verification and validation strategies, plans and processes to ensure software and hardware components, and the integrated spacecraft subsystems will meet system requirements and mission goals.
• Create and oversee the execution of test plans, procedures and generation of results reports.
• Collaborate with other program elements (I&T, ground systems, flight operations, mission management, and systems architecture) to understand their needs and create holistic solutions.
• Identify and assist in the management of technical, schedule and cost risks.
• Work with the flight software team to resolve implementation issues, review the software development processes, link their development to L3 and L4 requirements and needed functional behaviors.
• Assist in the planning and develop of system-level verification methods and events.
• Support and collaborate with the Assembly, Integration and Test team in developing test procedures and scripts.

Aerospace Systems Engineer III

• Participate in the entire design cycle of flight hardware, including conceptual and detailed design, trade studies, structural analysis, development testing, build & integration support, and qualification
• Design mechanisms for space flight which may include gimbaling mechanisms, deployment devices, separation systems, hold-down & release mechanisms, and antenna pointing devices
• Generate component drawings, assembly drawings, and interface control documents with application of GD&T
• Create documentation for assembly and testing of development and flight hardware
• Perform subsystem level testing including planning, execution, data reduction and analysis
• Develop component & subsystem level specifications and manage suppliers

Mechanical Design Engineer III – Blue Ring Mechanisms

Full-stack Engineer

• Support the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle
• Develop flight software and tools for various spaceflight systems
• Engage in all aspects of safety-critical real-time embedded software development
• Work on vehicle avionics and ground systems
• Responsible for requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing of software components and tools critical for New Glenn’s mission.

Software Development Engineer II – Avionics

Software Engineer

• Drive the architecture and delivery of a custom SDN controller capable of managing a highly dynamic LEO topology
• Oversee the development of sophisticated beam planning algorithms that optimize phased-array antenna resources, frequency reuse, and power constraints
• Design and deliver software to manage complex laser inter-satellite links and gateway handoffs
• Own the software stack for the ground segment
• Build the observability, telemetry, and automated remediation tools required to operate a global constellation
• Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering organization
• Partner with hardware, RF, and mission-planning teams to define software-hardware interfaces

Director – Software Development

Engineer

• Own the engine-level systems architecture, ensuring design decisions made at the subsystem level are coherent, traceable, and optimized for the system as a whole
• Develop, decompose, and allocate requirements across subsystems, maintaining clear traceability and a credible path to verification for every requirement
• Define and control all key interfaces between engine subsystems and between the engine and vehicle, resolving conflicts before they become integration problems
• Lead engine-level trade studies with analytical rigor, driving clear recommendations that advance the program rather than cataloguing options
• Actively engage with test data, anomaly investigations, and design iterations to identify optimization opportunities and push system performance

Principal Propulsion Engineer – Engines

Designer

• Define and develop refurbishment processes for components across all New Glenn stages, establishing repeatable, scalable procedures grounded in vehicle design intent and reusability requirements
• Lead the development of refurbishment planning frameworks, including maintenance interval logic, inspection criteria, component life-tracking methodologies, and return-to-flight readiness standards
• Evaluate, select, and implement software and planning tools to support refurbishment scheduling, configuration management, component traceability, and maintenance tracking across the vehicle lifecycle
• Collaborate with New Glenn design engineers early in the design cycle to embed refurbishment requirements into vehicle architecture, driving designs that minimize turnaround time and inspection complexity
• Partner with manufacturing engineering to identify shared resources, common tooling, and aligned procedures that bridge manufacturing and refurbishment workflow
• Assess current vehicle designs and architectures through a refurbishment lens, proactively identifying features that impede efficient inspection, servicing, or component exchange and advocating for design improvements
• Author, release, and maintain engineering-level process documentation, including refurbishment plans, work instructions, process specifications, and design requirements for refurbishability
• Develop metrics and key performance indicators to measure refurbishment process efficiency, turnaround time, and cost performance against program targets

Refurbishment Engineer III – New Glenn Design Team

Chief of Staff

• Participate in the development and refinement of the Operations Strategy aligned with overall Blue Origin goals and objectives
• Manage the SVP's strategic priorities, ensuring alignment across all Operations teams and tracking progress toward goals
• Leverage organizational knowledge to determine which levers to pull to move critical initiatives quickly
• Define and drive the adoption of KPIs that tie functional activity to enterprise outcomes (getting to rate, risk reduction, employee/site safety)
• Drive special projects and strategic initiatives across Operations, including cross-functional programs that require coordination with Engineering, Business Development, and other organizational units

• Work with cross-functional team on material selections, manufacturing processes, and suppliers to produce aerospace hardware.
• Review and approve drawings for conformance to the New Glenn Parts, Materials and Process Plan (ensuring proper selection and definition of materials and processes.
• Own material characterization of physical properties and allowables and help expand the current database of material properties.
• Support the development of processes culminating in the drawing definition of the process and inspection requirements.
• As the program progresses to the production phase, M&P support of component non-conformances will be required on an as needed basis.

Materials & Process Engineer III

Hardware Engineer

• Own the end-to-end hardware design of the switching subsystem from high-speed Ethernet switch and PHY integration to power architecture, embedded management controllers, and high-speed PCB layout.
• Architect BMC subsystems using MPSoC, ARM, or RISC-V microprocessors to monitor line card health, thermal sensors, and voltage rails.
• Design and integrate low-level communication buses (I2C, SPI, PMBus, SMBus, RS-485, CAN) for hardware telemetry and sequencing control.
• Develop hardware watchdog circuits and redundant boot sequences for fault recovery.
• Enable in-flight firmware reprogrammability via ground link, including secure update and rollback mechanisms.
• Architect high-reliability power distribution with autonomous sequencing, redundant paths (e.g., ORing controllers), and fault isolation to eliminate single points of failure.
• Specify and integrate radiation-hardened or radiation-tolerant components rated for SEE and TID in the target orbital environment.
• Design power stages for thermal-vacuum operation, emphasizing high-efficiency topologies and conduction/radiation thermal transfer.
• Architect low-noise power trees using high-PSRR LDOs and multi-stage LC filtering to protect sensitive analog and high-speed digital lanes.
• Lead SPICE-based transient analysis and hardware validation of load step responses, switching transients, and voltage ripple to millivolt-level tolerances.
• Develop EMI/EMC mitigation strategies — grounding architecture, decoupling optimization, power/signal plane isolation — to prevent crosstalk between power distribution and high-speed data paths.
• Lead multi-layer PCB design for switch line cards: stackup definition, impedance-controlled routing, thermal management, and DFM.
• Manage CCA BOM procurement, vendor coordination, and assembly oversight.
• Integrate BSPs, SDKs, and device drivers for Ethernet switching and network processor components in collaboration with firmware and software teams.
• Architect and bring up high-performance Ethernet switching systems, including NPU/switch ASIC integration, PHY and SerDes tuning, VLAN configuration, and MAC-level validation across high-density line cards.
• Resolve complex hardware-software interface issues across L1 and L2, including physical layer bring-up, transceiver integration, and MAC-level debugging.
• Lead factory acceptance testing, physical layer validation (optical transceivers, high-density copper), and commissioning of switch hardware.

Principal Hardware Engineer – TeraWave Network Switch Platform

• Design, analyze, and test fluid systems including pneumatic, cryogenic, thermal, and environmental control systems.
• Develop and validate models of fluid systems using relevant software tools.
• Conduct experiments and analyze data to understand system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fluid systems into aerospace vehicles.
• Prepare technical documentation and present findings to stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Senior Fluids Design Engineer

• Support the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle
• Support aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic design for various spaceflight systems
• Analyze for vehicle-level aerothermal and rocket plume models and loads
• Develop and document aerothermodynamic models and databases for space launch and reentry vehicles using various methods

Aerothermal Engineer II

• Design, develop, integrate, and test real-time embedded flight software in C/C++ for spacecraft avionics
