About the role
- The Sr Salesforce Administrator is responsible for executing day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and improvements of Salesforce by performing Level 1, 2 & 3 support aligned to specific system areas and business critical processes running on the Salesforce platform and integrated systems.
- This role collaborates with business partners, functional leaders, stakeholders, and Salesforce Administrators to identify, manage, and implement projects for new business processes utilizing advanced skillset.
- The Sr Salesforce Administrator will leverage their expertise and experience to drive solutions, handle escalations from other administrators, and act as a resource to guide lower-level administrators where necessary providing them with growth opportunities and enhancing the overall strength on the team.
- This role alternative growth paths such as Salesforce development, quality assurance, and solutions development.
- Monitor, record, and respond to requests from production users for minor enhancements and break fix support including the creation and maintenance of workflows, custom fields and objects, fields, record types, page layouts, reports, dashboard development, and data flow management
- Perform administrator functions to maintain the system such as user profiles, roles, and permissions, storage and backup management, as well as cleanup and updates of unused fields and objects and integrations
- Create and manage automation processes with flows and advanced admin components
- Clean, validate, and import different data sets into Salesforce
- Provide guidance and best practice advice to users
- Keep up to date with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices and making recommendations to process owners, stakeholders, and management regarding their implementation
- Responsible for facilitating test cases, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and quality assurance (QA)
- Implement and support integrations, third-party tools, and security
- Coordinate testing and manage deployment of software updates following standard SDLC processes utilizing available CI/CD tools and methods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business process owners to gather and document business requirements and translate them into Salesforce solutions
- Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance tasks
- Create and maintain end user documentation on processes, policies, application configuration, user guides, job aides, and related materials
- Be a role model and mentor to team members with less experience, providing guidance and support on technical and non-technical aspects of Salesforce Administration
- Utilize advanced administrator skills and conduct collaborative learning sessions with team members to share knowledge

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as Salesforce administrator
- Salesforce Sales Cloud experience and administrator certification(s)
- Proven ability to execute solutions using advanced administration components
- Ability to conduct meetings with team members, leadership, stakeholders, and consultants/developers
- Capability to articulate strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to be proactive and think strategically across multiple, concurrent projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills
- Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong computer proficiency; adept at learning new software
- Ability to conduct research into software issues functionality
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
- SDLC Agile Project Management Tools (Azure DevOps, Jira)
- CI/CD Tools (DevOps Center, Copado, Gearset)
- Data management tools (Data Loader, XL Connector)
- Familiarity with Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and Lightning components
- Mastery of writing Salesforce flows, validation rules & formulas
- Demonstrate the ability to take initiative—while remaining calm under pressure, identifying and acting upon the critical few tasks when faced with competing priorities
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
