QA Automation Engineer

• Serve as the primary technical owner for Workday — configuration, troubleshooting, security roles, business process framework, and day-to-day support across HCM, Compensation, Benefits, and related modules
• Own access controls, role-based permissions, and audit logging to ensure security and compliance
• Manage Workday releases, including impact analysis, testing, and rollout of new features
• Design, build, and maintain integrations across Workday and connected systems (e.g., Ashby, Pave, Shareworks, Athena, HC 365), using EIB and API-based integration patterns

• Stay ahead of Workday's AI and automation roadmap, anticipating what's worth piloting before it becomes an obvious ask
• Bring curiosity to the broader HR tech stack and processes — proactively surface where automation or AI augmentation opportunities across HR tech stack that could benefit the wider HR team, not just Workday itself, and act as the go-to resource others come to for this thinking
• Own the approach to SOX ITGC controls for People systems, building controls that enable compliance without adding unnecessary friction
• Maintain clear, audit-ready documentation of system configuration, workflows, and change management processes; set the standard others on the team follow
• Serve as the technical expert Total Rewards, HRBPs, Talent, HR Ops, and IT leadership come to for complex or ambiguous systems decisions
• Translate business needs from senior stakeholders into scalable, well-documented system solutions, and clearly communicate tradeoffs and recommendations
• Mentor other HR systems practitioners and elevate how the broader team approaches configuration, integration, and automation work

Staff Workday Engineer, People Systems – AI Automation

Solutions Engineer

• Serve as technical architect on BetterUp's largest and most strategic opportunities — Key Accounts, Strategic Enterprise, and Government deals ($2M–$15M+), owning the full pre-sales cycle from discovery through handoff
• Own peer-level relationships with CIO, CISO, and VP Engineering buyers — earned through domain depth, sustained over deal cycles, and independent of HR as the primary champion
• Build the business case in CFO and COO terms: structure ROI narratives, model value independently, and position BetterUp's platform in language that resonates outside the People function
• Anticipate integration, security, and platform feasibility challenges before they surface — bringing structured recommendations and clear tradeoffs to the deal team and to Product
• Define and maintain reusable SE assets — industry-specific blueprint libraries, scaled demo archetypes, integration pattern catalogs — that lift the capability of the entire SE team
• Lead the SE function's AI and automation strategy: identify highest-leverage opportunities, pilot them with rigor, and embed what works into team-wide practice
• Coach SEs on navigating business-driven deals, developing non-HR buyer relationships, and operating in complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise environments
• Serve as the most senior IC technical voice in GTM strategic planning, SE function design, and platform roadmap conversations with Product and Engineering leadership

Staff Solutions Engineer

• Serve as single-threaded owner for BetterUp's most complex, platform-defining engagements — Fortune 100 deployments, government, multi-region rollouts, and deals where the primary buyer is not HR
• Operate as a trusted advisor to the ELT (CEO, CRO, CPO, CTO) on platform strategy, integration roadmap, and the long-term design of the SE function
• Bring a proprietary external network into BetterUp — CIO, CISO, and CFO-level relationships that exist before a deal starts and persist after it closes, accelerating enterprise pipeline in ways no internal team member can replicate
• Define BetterUp's integration and security narrative at the industry level — shaping how technical buyers across the market perceive the platform, not just individual accounts
• Advise the ELT on enterprise buyer trends, shifts in IT buying behavior, and how BetterUp's platform and GTM motion should evolve in response
• Serve as single-threaded owner for key company-wide initiatives — scaled SE coverage models, platform integration roadmap, AI-driven SE tooling — mobilizing Product, Engineering, GTM, and Implementation to execute
• Establish BetterUp as a thought leader in enterprise Solutions Engineering through external speaking, writing, and industry presence
• Mentor leaders across the SE function and GTM organization; serve as a talent magnet that raises the bar for who wants to work here

Principal Solutions Engineer

Analytics Engineer

• Architect, build and maintain efficient and reliable data products (dbt models, pipelines, Looker explores, visualizations, etc.) that enable data driven decision making.
• Build and maintain ELT pipelines from source systems to data warehouses.
