You will report directly to the Executive Board, assume (personnel) responsibility and actively shape the future business unit and its associated change and transformation processes — with a clear focus on stability in Berlin's public transport (ÖPNV).

You are responsible for BVG's strategic direction — including a forward-looking mobility vision for Berlin and oversight of sustainability, innovation and responsible corporate governance.
You develop and pilot integrated urban mobility concepts — for example through the use of autonomous vehicles and data-driven analyses of mobility behaviour.
You shape the company-wide data, analytics and AI strategies — including building suitable systems, developing standards and generating impact-oriented management insights.
You manage the strategic project portfolio — focusing on impact, cost-effectiveness and sustainability, as well as defining project management standards and advising decentralized units.
You coordinate central committee processes (e.g., Executive Board, Supervisory Board) and chair the Strategy and Investment Boards — including responsibility for strategic investments and close coordination with political and municipal stakeholders.
Requirements
A professionally skilled and committed leader with relevant professional and extensive managerial experience in senior strategic and operational roles and demonstrable successes in a similar position.
A completed academic degree (Master/Diploma) in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, etc.).
Alternatively: equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through several years of professional experience.
Willingness to undergo the extended security clearance level Ü2 under the Berlin Security Clearance Act (BSÜG) is a mandatory requirement.
