About the role

  • Manage and optimize value of BeOne’s alliances across product life cycle (research, development, commercial)
  • Ensure adherence to partnership agreement terms by both parties
  • Own and be accountable for global strategic alliances and key alliance goals
  • Oversee execution of partnership agreement including governance committees and working group meetings
  • Facilitate kick off/implementation of alliances with partner companies including direction, scope, activities, timing, responsibilities
  • Regular communication with partner alliance management counterparts and stakeholders
  • Identify and proactively address alliance risks (Legal, Human Psychology and Business risks)
  • Perform regular alliance audits and health checks
  • Participate in external events to promote BeOne as partner of choice
  • Liaise with Business Development, Legal, Finance, Clinical Development, Commercial and other functions to ensure contract terms are handled appropriately
  • Monitor implementation and adherence to research, development and commercialization plans and take action to ensure execution
  • Build and maintain relationships with BeOne’s senior leaders and ensure proactive stakeholder engagement
  • Strategize with stakeholders to formulate recommendations and drive alignment
  • Lead/participate in contract renegotiations and provide input into partnership execution terms
  • Build expertise about partner companies and act as internal expert
  • Participate in alliance management group meetings to review progress and share best practices

Requirements

  • 7-10-year experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences or related industry, preferably in commercial, business development, or project leader/project management role
  • 5-year experience in Alliance Management, Program Management, Business Development or related function
  • Strong experience in drug development
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize and resolve key project and partnership issues
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and coordinate demands from multiple customers, both internally and with partners
  • Participation in development and life cycle management project teams
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; MS Project is a plus
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese preferred, but not required
