• Play a key project delivery and leadership role in the South Island across the buildings and infrastructure project management field
• Lead projects from initiation and design through procurement, consenting, and into construction and handover

• Apply robust project governance, risk management, and financial controls

• Lead and deliver complex hydraulics and fire protection designs across commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects
• Take ownership of projects from early planning and concept design through to detailed design and construction support
• Provide technical guidance, review and verification of work produced by other engineers
• Build strong, trusted relationships with clients through understanding their business drivers, risks and priorities
• Contribute to effective delivery through sound judgement around programme, scope, budget and risk
• Mentor and coach engineers across the discipline, supporting capability development through inclusive, supportive leadership and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Beca’s national and Asia Pacific network

• Leading process designs, including PFD and P&ID development
• Developing specifications for process equipment and supporting the tendering of major equipment
• Build strong long-term relationships with clients
• Demonstrate ability to understand client's core business
• Translate client requirements into project deliverables
• Ensure services meet client expectations
• Provide technical advice to improve process capacity or troubleshoot issues
• Undertake and lead process reviews, investigations, options assessments and designs
• Work effectively in a team environment to deliver multi-disciplinary design
• Manage project finances, including cost tracking and forecasting
• Leading and mentoring more junior engineers
• Flexibility to travel to work alongside clients to deliver projects

• Contribute to the design and delivery of ICT and electronic security systems including structured cabling, fibre optic networks, access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
• Support the preparation of design documentation including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Be involved in project delivery through coordination, site visits, and technical support during construction.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate building technologies into wider project outcomes.
• Build effective working relationships with clients and project stakeholders, and contribute to a positive project experience.
• Support the ongoing improvement of tools, standards, and delivery approaches.
