About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Providing solutions and service to clients off and on site
- Taking lead roles in project engineering and technical leadership
- Building strong customer relationships and demonstrating ability to understand client's core business and ensure that services meet expectations
- Mentoring, learning and working independently as a key team member
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline
- Chartered Professional Engineer registration / or looking to obtain chartership
- Understanding of water/wastewater industry standards and best practices
- Broad experience in water conveyance and hydraulic engineering that includes large diameter pipelines and networks, pump stations, treatment plants, and hydraulic structures
- Strong experience with hydraulic analyses covering: Pressurised pipelines and networks, Pump system curves, Fluid transients and design of mitigation measures, Gravity sewer, stormwater, and other gravity-driven flows, Treatment plant hydraulics, Open channel flow, Flow control and energy dissipation structures, Management of air entrainment
- Experience in the following will also be desirable: Pump and valve selection, Pipe specification and pipeline design, Ocean outfalls, Sludge and slurry pumping, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
- Experience with a range of hydraulic software, such as Infoworks WS and ICM, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, EPANET, EPA SWMM, Fluidflow, Fathom, Hytran, Impulse, Hammer and the like
- Experience in developing hydraulic grade lines and hydraulic profiles
- Experience working in a consulting environment delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-office project team will also be well-regarded.
