Project Manager – Project, Strategy, Delivery
BecaProject Manager leading complex infrastructure projects at Beca, engaging with Public and Private sector clients. Focusing on project delivery and strategic advice across buildings and infrastructure.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Play a key project delivery and leadership role in the South Island across the buildings and infrastructure project management field
- Lead projects from initiation and design through procurement, consenting, and into construction and handover
- Lead the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects from early planning stages to completion
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their business needs
- Apply robust project governance, risk management, and financial controls
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Apply a knowledge of NZS 391X suite of construction contracts
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–10 years of demonstrated experience in the infrastructure, buildings, utilities environment - consulting experience is preferred
- A strong understanding of the local market business and operating environment
- Tertiary qualifications aligned to construction project management consulting
- Experience in design management, project planning and delivery, and strategic advice
- A bias for action and a passion for working with a broad range of stakeholders
- Strong relationship-building skills and commercial judgement
- A creative and logical mindset for solving complex problems
- A collaborative and innovative approach
