About the role
- Manage and reconcile monthly benefits invoices; Conduct regular audits of benefits enrollments and eligibility; Assist with the annual benefits open enrollment process; Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits inquiries; Analyze benefits data to identify trends; Administer all leave of absence programs including FMLA, ADA, CFRA, PFL; Manage leave of absence process from initial request to return to work; Track leave usage and maintain accurate records; Coordinate with benefits providers; Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws; Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with HR policies; Manage the company's EEO and ACA including data collection and reporting; Partner with legal counsel to address complex legal issues; Conduct investigations relating to employees; Manage worker's compensation claims; Develop, revise, and implement HR policies and procedures; Maintain the employee handbook; Utilize HR analytics and metrics to track benefit costs and performance; Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership; Provide support to other HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, event planning, and performance management; Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; Minimum 6-10 years progressive HR experience, with a focus on benefits administration, legal compliance, policy writing, and leave of absence management; PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred not required; Familiar with Federal and CA Employment and Labor laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and FLSA; Advance level of proficiency in HRIS (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors), MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Strong recruiting background; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to multi-task, attention to details, high level of accuracy; Ability to perform data and information analysis and draw logical conclusion; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment; Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
