About the role

  • Ensure controls and safeguards promote adherence to applicable federal and state laws and protect patient/customer data
  • Assist the Compliance Manager with internal reviews, research, and audits for compliance with laws, client requirements, accreditations/certifications, audit frameworks, and organizational policies
  • Document findings and organize data to identify potential risk areas
  • Stay informed of rule and regulation changes in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries
  • Support day-to-day operations of the Document Management System (DMS) and Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Coordinate with departments and cross-functional teams to ensure documents are reviewed and revised on schedule
  • Perform document control functions: tracking, processing, review, formatting, distribution, and archiving
  • Evaluate document organization, proofread, and provide quality checks prior to finalization
  • Assist Compliance Manager with review and management of third-party audits
  • Verify compliance with insurer rules, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations
  • Assist in Incident Management and CAPA processes
  • Assist in conducting enterprise-wide Risk Assessment
  • Receive, investigate, and resolve compliance and privacy-related complaints or concerns
  • Maintain Compliance & Privacy logs as required
  • Assist in training efforts: prepare materials and present training through various methods
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • CHC or other relevant certifications preferred
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Experience with Jira Service Desk a plus
  • High degree of emotional intelligence
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
