Performs a comprehensive review of the Review 5500, makes needed updates, and posts the 5500 and SAR per broker and/or plan sponsor instructions.
Puts forth effort to understand the broker, plan sponsor, plans and benefit/insurance data and works collaboratively with the consultant and data collections contacts as necessary.
Updates tracking system with any missing information on the Schedule A’s or plan sponsor data and moves the file back to Data Collections.
Makes necessary updates daily on files sent back for updates/corrections and checks with Consultant as needed to ensure updates align with Form 5500 Instructions.
Assists with peer 5500 reviews to assist the flow of prepared 5500s.
Owns primary responsibility for preparing, reviewing and posting amended 5500s as well as Ticking and one-year DFVCs.
Assists with or takes responsibility for efiling on a daily basis and assists with preparing Form 5558 Extensions.
Assists and supports Consultants, 5500 Specialists and Data Collections as directed by management to optimize the Wrangle process.
Manages multiple tasks effectively, balancing high productivity with excellent service quality, adhering to SOPs and controls.
Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus.
Requirements
Professional relationship and professional communication with plan sponsors, brokers and Wrangle staff.
Ability to understand brokers, plan sponsors, plans and benefit/insurance data.
Collaborate with consultants and Data Collections contacts to address questions or open items.
Update tracking system with missing information on Schedule A’s or plan sponsor data and move files back to Data Collections.
Check with Consultant to ensure updates align with the Form 5500 Instructions.
Prepare, review and post amended 5500s, Ticking and one-year DFVCs.
Assist with or take responsibility for daily e-filing and prepare Form 5558 Extensions.
Adhere to Wrangle and Ascensus standard operating procedures and controls.
Protect, secure, and properly handle confidential data to prevent unauthorized access or unapproved disclosure.
Be aware of employment fraud and verify Ascensus communications originate from @ascensus.com or @futureplan.com addresses.
