About the role
- Lead development and growth of Arcadis\' Industrial Water practice on the U.S. West Coast and western United States
- Serve as a seller/doer: business development plus technical execution for industrial water/wastewater projects
- Lead planning, design and construction of water/wastewater treatment and recycle plants for industrial clients
- Coordinate multi-discipline engineering teams and act as Subject Matter Expert or Design Manager on complex projects
- Provide design basis documents, engineering calculations, P&ID and layout reviews, specifications, reports, feasibility studies and quality reviews
- Support project managers with scope, budget, staffing and schedule development and management
- Lead knowledge transfer and staff development within area of expertise
- Prepare abstracts and technical papers; participate in client interviews and meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 15 years of industrial water/wastewater treatment experience
- Preferred: Master of Science or PhD in related field
- Preferred: PE license
- Preferred: Knowledge and experience with multinational industrial clients
- Preferred: Knowledge and experience with industrial clients in the western United States
- Preferred: Previous experience in a regional role and collaboration across regional teams
- Technical skills: biological treatment; zero liquid discharge; brine management (thermal evaporation and crystallization); detailed design; in-plant water use optimization (reduce/reuse/recycle); ultra-high purity water production (semiconductor manufacturing)
- Sector experience: Technology (semiconductors/chips), Oil & Gas, Chemical/Petrochemical, Life Science, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Automotive, Aerospace
- Client-facing business development and proposal leadership experience
- Ability to lead multi-discipline engineering teams and provide SME design reviews
