• Build, maintain and scale platform-level back-end services to enhance and serve our core products.

Technical Engineering Manager – PHP

DevOps Engineer

• Proactively monitor and analyse platform performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to address performance bottlenecks and ensure scalability.

• Continually improve observability through monitoring and alerting, and dashboards, using tools such as DataDog or Prometheus for example.

Support Engineer

• Collaborate with the Payments Senior Product Manager to shape, challenge and deliver a strategic product roadmap aligned with company goals
• Define problems and hypotheses based on customer needs and feedback, ensuring alignment with the product strategy.
• Work with Engineering and Product Design to identify assumptions, risks and validate feasibility of potential solutions
• Support the Payments Senior Product Manager in planning and coordinating the delivery of product development, through iterative sprint cycles and regular team ceremonies
• Decompose high-level product initiatives into detailed user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria
• Define detailed business rules, data validations, and error-handling scenarios to ensure robust technical solutions
• Document current and future-state workflows using data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and system schemas to guide the engineering team
• Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to ensure product requirements meet data protection regulations and payment security frameworks (e.g. PCI compliance)

• Provide expert pension administration support to payroll officers.
• Ensure accurate processing, reporting, and compliance of LGPS and TPS.
• Process and verify pension data for starters, leavers, opt outs, opt ins, transfers, and retirements.
• Prepare and submit monthly and annual pension data returns to TPS and relevant LGPS funds.
• Reconcile contribution payments and resolve data or payment discrepancies.
• Maintain pension records and ensure all data is accurate and up-to-date in payroll and pensions portal.
• Support monitoring of contribution rates, pensionable pay, and compliance with auto enrolment legislation.
