About the role
- Act as a technical support resource to the Systems Engineer team; assist on large-scale projects and follow up on open trouble tickets
- Engage with Aramark IT teams and vendors to drive issues to completion
- Support Avendra enterprise infrastructure systems and applications; handle daily tasks, trouble tickets and larger projects
- Support the Avendra Helpdesk with end-user desktop support, A/V setup for onsite conferences, new user and systems configuration
- Provide complex problem diagnosis for escalated tickets and determine long-term resolution paths
- Serve as on-site resource for Senior Manager, Network and Systems Operations; assist with server room and other on-site tasks
- Serve as primary point of contact between the team and corporate IT security staff; team lead for security topics
- Support service delivery goals, reporting metrics, hardware and software maintenance, security policies, and system change control
- Attend daily and weekly team meetings and participate in after-hours support for systems patching as needed
- Act as backup for the Senior Engineer; maintain infrastructure inventory, network diagrams and technology service logs
- Assist in capacity planning and participate in design and planning meetings to support project technical infrastructure needs
- Responsible for supporting any environment when the assigned engineer is unavailable
Requirements
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- BS/BA in relevant field or equivalent years' experience
- Technical certifications a plus
- Knowledge of Windows client and server operating systems, Windows Desktop, mobile operating systems
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Remote Access technologies, DNS, DHCP
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Office 365, SharePoint, SQL, FTP
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing system
- Knowledge of standalone, blade and virtual server and workstation infrastructure
- Knowledge of IT support processes, tracking systems, IT service performance management, and project management
- Strong relationship management with customers, vendors and associates
- Strong analytical, problem solving, planning, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, multitask, and maintain a flexible schedule
- Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and be available as-needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and install computers and other equipment
- Ability to work hybrid in Rockville office (3 days per week onsite)
