About the role

  • The Server Administrator II reports to the IT Infrastructure leader and maintains the stability of the server and storage infrastructure
  • Install and configure physical or virtual servers and associated OS and applications
  • Evaluate new server hardware/software and plan upgrades
  • Manage server security configuration and patching for local and enterprise servers
  • Implement cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments integrating on-prem and cloud services
  • Install and manage storage and assist with enterprise storage design and DR planning
  • Monitor and troubleshoot servers, storage, and networks for 24x7 availability
  • Develop and maintain documentation, run backups/recovery, and DR plans
  • Provide 1st/2nd line support; lead IT projects; mentor other server admins
  • Work with vendors to procure, install and resolve issues; on-call for after-hours and Sunday maintenance
  • Maintain DNS, IIS, SFTP and other services; promote teamwork and security

Requirements

  • US – Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
  • 5+ years’ experience with server and/or storage with global responsibilities
  • Experience with installation, troubleshooting and support of an enterprise system hardware/software infrastructure
  • Experience in a global, collaborative and team-oriented environment
  • Experience and/or certifications with related vendors (HP, Dell, IBM, EMC, Cisco, etc.)
  • ITAR/EAR compliance: U.S. Persons required or eligible to obtain required authorizations
