Human Resources

• Manages the County’s Classification and Compensation program and related activities
• Conducting market analyses and benchmarking studies to evaluate compensation program competitiveness to market
• Provides strategic oversight of the county’s job framework and job descriptions ensuring consistency, accuracy, and ongoing updates
• Works with Leaders, HR Business Partners and talent acquisition on job-related offers
• Leverages market and compensation data to inform decision-making and support annual budget planning
• Communicates compensation concepts and educates senior leaders and other stakeholders on the organization’s compensation philosophy and programs
• Serves as primary point of contact ensuring timely, accurate, and collaborative support for all Classification and Compensation related initiatives
• Manage direct reports within the Classification and Compensation subfunction for the Human Resources Department
• Directly guide and support individual contributors or offer guidance through a team of supervisors
• Contribute to the development of objectives, county goals, performance management, and policies and procedures
• Define and execute HR strategies to accomplish county and department objectives
• Develop workforce plans and maintain an understanding of external trends and issues that may impact county workforce targets
• Advise and make recommendations for succession planning, career progressions, mobility transfers, promotions, demotions, and open competitive examinations
• Conduct high-level investigations and advise management on the resolution of employee issues, concerns, and/or conflicts
• Interpret rules and regulations and make recommendations on corrective action, terminations, employee concerns, training, and organizational changes
