Own the preparation and delivery of monthly payroll data to third-party providers across multiple EMEA countries.
Guarantee timely, correct submission of payroll payment files.
Manage statutory payments such as sick pay, maternity/paternity pay, and other entitlements.
Oversee payroll elements of onboarding and offboarding for new joiners and leavers.
Ensure compliance with pension auto-enrolment rules.
Review and validate payroll outputs for accuracy and completeness across multi-sited and cross-country payrolls; act as go-to expert for regional payroll queries.
Work with multiple currencies and currency conversions.
Assist finance with audits and annual tax reporting.
Partner with the Payroll Manager to introduce new processes and strengthen internal controls.
Stay ahead of legislative changes; attend at least two technical update trainings annually.
Support annual payroll year-end processes and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly payroll journals and accruals for EMEA entities.
Requirements
Proven UK payroll experience (bonus: multi-country exposure including Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands).
Strong manual payroll calculation skills and solid knowledge of statutory requirements.
Intermediate or higher Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables).
Keen eye for detail; deliver accuracy under pressure and tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trusted relationships.
Methodical, problem-solving mindset with the courage to challenge and improve processes.
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Proactive, hands-on “can-do” attitude.
Must be able to come to the office 2 days a week (London or Thames Valley).
