💰 £42,000 - £44,000 per year
About the role
- Own and process the full monthly payroll ensuring all employees are paid on time and accurately, including statutory payments, sickness, overtime, and salary sacrifice arrangements.
- Maintain and update all employee records within the payroll system.
- Collaborate with the People & Culture team to ensure payroll data integrity.
- Manage and resolve employee payroll queries and communications.
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes including general ledger reconciliation, HMRC reporting (RTI, P11D), and preparing P45s and P60s.
- Manage pension administration including contribution submissions and re-declarations.
- Process and reimburse employee expenses.
- Support the transfer of employees to a new company.
- Report to the Senior Payroll Manager and ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and systems.
- Experience with Frontier software (desirable).
- Flexible team player who can also work independently.
- Calm, logical, and practical approach with high degrees of initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- CIPP qualified or equivalent would be beneficial.
