About the role

  • As an Enterprise Account Executive in the Public Safety Technology space, you will drive sales of Versaterm's SaaS technology solutions to state-level entities and agencies across North America. Your primary focus will be managing large transactions, developing and executing strategic account plans, and driving revenue within your assigned territories. You'll manage a large, complex sales pipeline of opportunities with state, county, and city-level entities.
  • In order to excel, you will develop and execute strategic account plans to meet or exceed revenue targets, often working deals that take 12-18+ months to close. Your current skillset includes the ability to conduct in-depth needs assessments and product presentations to showcase the value and benefits of Versaterm's technology solutions.
  • You'll collaborate with internal teams, including product development, customer success, and marketing to negotiate and close deals while ensuring a seamless customer experience. You'll foster relationships with City, County, and State-Level executives by conducting on-site meetings, events, conferences, and tradeshows within your assigned territory.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Senior Account Executive in the government technology space, with a focus on selling to state-level law enforcement agencies and a deep understanding of the government procurement process is preferred
  • A strong track record of managing large transactions and meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Ability to design and execute a comprehensive territory strategy, including proactive prospecting, strategic account planning, and disciplined pipeline management — to consistently drive growth and exceed revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel within your assigned territory up to 30-50% of the time
