About the role

Lead the development aspects of IT projects for humanitarian missions, including analysis, enhancement, installation, testing, and modification of technology solutions
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Work in collaboration with product managers, UX/service designers, business analysts, and business owners to clarify, prioritize, and document user stories, scenarios, personas, and problems to be solved
Lead a team of developers and provide coaching and guidance to ensure their success
Prepare activity and progress reports for projects, tasks, and operations
Manage vendor partnerships for outsourced projects and support work
Migrate legacy applications to cloud-first and API-first applications leveraging multiple technologies
Convert user stories into technical designs and prototypes
Provide IT application support after hours and on weekends during major disasters
Work remotely from home on an East Coast schedule (core hours 8am–5pm)

Minimum 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
At least 6 years of Microsoft Full Stack Development Experience
At least 2 years of Lead or solution architecture experience
2+ years of experience working with Azure AI / Cognitive Services / Azure OpenAI
Experience managing agile development teams, including sprint planning, user story estimation, prioritization, scrum-based leadership techniques, and retrospectives
Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration and communication with business-led product teams and stakeholders
Ability to build strong partnerships with product owners and managers to act as one product team driving toward mission outcomes
Experience in API design, implementation, and/or operations
Experience in .NET development using Entity Framework, web services, and SOA concepts
Experience with Git, Confluence, and JIRA
Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to explain the design of the system and system architecture
Ability to work East Coast core hours (8am – 5pm) and provide after-hours/weekend IT application support during major disasters
