About the role

  • Conduct due diligence on greenfield projects, including site assessments, grid connection analysis, and early-stage project evaluation
  • Consolidate and analyse information for project teams, providing research and evaluation to support decision-making
  • Assist in preparing investment committee materials, project information memoranda (PIMs), and teasers
  • Support due diligence processes, including review of project agreements (PPAs, EPC, O&M, SPAs, JDAs)
  • Build and improve techno-commercial financial models in Excel to support project evaluations (tariff analysis, wheeling, demand matching, savings)
  • Run sensitivity analyses and scenario testing, including stress-testing of assumptions
  • Review and update development budgets through to COD and validate assumptions and outputs in financial models
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, coordinating across technical, commercial, legal, and financial teams
  • Ensure timely progress of project milestones by managing stakeholder inputs and support efficient execution of live DG projects
  • Participate in key industry events and perform risk assessments across financial, commercial, political, and environmental dimensions
  • Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, and risk frameworks and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ relevant experience, ideally in renewable energy project development, project finance, or corporate finance
  • Prior renewable energy/IPPs experience strongly preferred
  • Exposure to project finance, capital raising, and structuring renewable energy projects
  • Demonstrated experience in early-stage due diligence (site assessments, grid connection, permitting inputs)
  • Advanced financial modelling skills (cashflows, sensitivity analysis, tariff modelling)
  • Degree: BCom (Hons) Finance/Economics or BSc (Hons) Engineering
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive approach, and adaptability
  • Moderate travel required (quarterly site visits and participation in major industry conferences)
