Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of health, wellness, retirement, and paid time off programs
Oversee annual open enrollment and drive plan design enhancements
Oversee legislative leaves and disability programs across both countries, ensuring compliance and providing expert guidance to HR and employees
Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and service delivery; ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, provincial/territorial legislation) and support audits and filings
Lead and develop a high-performing benefits team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Analyze benefit utilization and cost trends, conduct market benchmarking, and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Develop clear and engaging communication materials and provide direct support to employees and HR partners to resolve benefit-related inquiries
Support administration of pension and retirement savings plans (DC, RRSP, 401K) and partner with internal teams and vendors to maintain plan integrity
Report to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards and lead a small benefits team
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing employee benefits programs, with a focus on both salaried and hourly employees in the U.S. and Canada
1–2 years of experience leading a team of professionals
Proven experience in benefits administration, including health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, and paid time off
In-depth knowledge of benefits regulations in the U.S. and Canada, including compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws
Experience managing benefits vendors and developing cost-effective benefits programs
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
