About the role

  • Identify and develop relationships with Consultants, General Contractors, Developers and Property Owners
  • Coordinate involvement of Company personnel, including support, service and management resources, to meet growth objectives
  • Promote Distech in the market, including working with Consulting Engineers and Architects
  • Actively participate in local professional organizations
  • Participate in various project management activities
  • Estimating and proposal writing
  • Maintain accurate tracking of leads and opportunities utilizing the CRM
  • Achieve assigned sales quota and meet profitability expectations
  • Complete Client account plans and required training and development objectives
  • Maintain high Client satisfaction ratings
  • Focus on large-scale projects (one-million square feet or larger) in the New York City metro area and Southwest territory projects
  • Sell Distech Controls as enabling technology to position Acuity’s tier 3 & 4 solutions

Requirements

  • Reside in or near Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO; or Las Vegas, NV and understand the market landscape
  • Existing relationships with GC, Consultants and Developers is a plus
  • Four years University or College degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of HVAC and/or Building Automation System sales management
  • Sales Management experience in a business-to-business environment, partnering with Engineers and Architects
  • Exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle various priorities
  • Personal computer proficiency and excels in MS Office Applications
  • Ability to assist with estimating controls projects and technical aptitude to discuss HVAC, BAS, IT, Fiber Networks and Lighting Controls
  • Extensive experience and capability to speak “up and down” the channel/construction cycle
  • Experience in a company that manufactures and markets technically complex controls products through a variety of distribution channels
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Valid passport required
  • This position requires some travel
