About the role
- Generate revenue growth via consultative selling and retention of current WM customers
- Manage existing business relationships to achieve sales goals
- Handle customer cancellation requests and preserve business
- Obtain customer contract commitments during face-to-face interactions
- Resolve customer service escalations within territory
- Prospect and close new customers to achieve budgeted sales goals
- Develop proposals encompassing multiple services and maintain prospect database
- Execute retention calls to improve customer service and profitability
- Use WM sales tools for proposals, pricing, and customer management
Requirements
- Must live and work in AZ
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) OR High School Diploma/GED plus 4 years relevant experience
- 1 year of relevant B2B direct and phone-based prospecting experience (in addition to education requirement)
- Ability to research waste and environmental services business
- Ability to identify pertinent Local, County, State, and/or Federal government regulations
- Strong negotiation and sales skills
- Experience using sales productivity software tools
