About the role
- Lead and drive the planning, execution, and delivery of assigned Residential Linear product projects (Wraps, Undercabinet, Tapelight)
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to stakeholder satisfaction
- Accelerate sales growth, product vitality, and margin improvements across assigned categories
- Understand customer base, applications, and competitors to develop competitive solutions
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
- Manage project expectations and provide timely escalation for product deviations to mitigate quality and supply chain risks
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders with timely updates on status and milestones
- Work with product support, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, and sales to support product categories and launches
- Present and provide product training for support teams, channel partners, and customers
- Lead, inspire, and influence the team to follow product development system with phase gates, milestones, and predefined deliverables
- Have basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques to lead and challenge the team
- Drive KPI compliance including phase gate compliance and tracking productivity, margins, quality, ship promise compliance, and sales growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field
- MBA a plus
- 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the lighting industry
- Strong communicator and team player
- Strong understanding of product development life cycle
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques
- Knowledge of lighting industry sales channels, key influencers, and primary decision makers (preferred)
- Direct knowledge of tapelight products, applications, and key competitors (preferred)
- Travel Requirements: 1-20%
