About the role
- Manage Residential Linear product categories (Wraps, Undercabinet, Tapelight) and lead planning, execution, and delivery of assigned projects
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management
- Manage project expectations and provide timely escalation for product deviations to mitigate quality/supply chain risks
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and provide status updates on milestones and changes
- Coordinate with product support, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, and sales for product support and launches
- Present and provide product training for support teams, channel partners, and customers
- Lead and influence teams to follow product development system with phase gates and milestones
- Apply basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques to lead and challenge the team
- Drive KPI compliance including phase gate compliance, productivity, margins, quality, ship promise compliance, and sales growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field
- MBA a plus
- 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the lighting industry
- Strong communicator and team player
- Strong understanding of product development life cycle
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Knowledge of lighting industry sales channels, key influencers, and primary decision makers (preferred)
- Direct knowledge of tapelight products, applications, and key competitors (preferred)
- Travel: 1-20%
