Responsible for all commercial sales activity for designated global and domestic accounts in PVC Specialty Resins segments (flooring, artificial leather, custom formulating, others as assigned)
Manage distribution network in the U.S. / Canada
Identify, close and track new business opportunities in short and long term
Negotiate contracts, pricing, rebates and terms
Provide accurate monthly forecasts for key customer demand and new/lost business impacts
Develop account strategy and coordinate support
Respond to service and quality issues
Deliver the sales budget for the region and manage costs to budget levels
Develop year-over-year profitable revenue growth and robust new business development
Embrace the sales process using customer-centric selling skills and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
Requirements
Minimum: 4-Year Degree - Business Administration, Engineering, Chemistry
Desirable: Technical Degree/MBA
Mid career, minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as Sales Manager
Strong knowledge and experience in sales/key account management or marketing (preferably technical sales / polymer sales)
Experience in the vinyl industry and/or specialty vinyl markets a significant plus
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel or similar tool to perform solid sales analysis and management (e.g., profitability financial models)
Excellent organization, problem solving and project management skills
Solid communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
Must be customer focused, an effective team player, and able to operate with a sense of urgency
