About the role

  • Acuity Brands Lighting is seeking a Regional Field Support Technician responsible for on-site system startups, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and customer training for advanced lighting and control systems Based near Conyers, GA; service coverage primarily in Georgia and adjacent regions, with additional support in Mexico and Canada as required Collaborate with Engineering Teams and Focus Factories to identify product and process improvements Perform on-site service visits, diagnose, troubleshoot, program, and repair lighting and control systems Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers and act as subject matter expert during customer engagements Prepare field reports and conduct on-site training Frequent travel up to 85%, including overnight stays Physical requirements include lifting up to 75 lbs, working at heights up to 100 feet, and operating hand and power tools safely

Requirements

  • Having a degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in a field service role with electrical and mechanical responsibilities Strong aptitude in electrical systems, control technologies, and schematic interpretation Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport required Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is a plus for international support
