• Evaluate tax nexus and the changing sales tax nexus rules
• Own Avalara tax configuration, reconciliation and tie out to billing and revenue
• Complete all sales tax returns and ensure accuracy
• Evaluate invoices for use tax

• Coordinate data requests with third-party tax preparers and review prepared work, including income tax provisions.

• Engage with operating company personnel, third-party advisors, and taxing authorities on tax provision, compliance, planning, and controversy issues.

• Actively seek and identify potential tax planning opportunities for the organization.
• Understand the organization's business operations and contribute to problem resolution when tax-related issues arise.

• Execute outbound campaigns to engage top target accounts, while proactively pursuing and closing mid- to low mid market opportunities to maintain a healthy, consistent pipeline
• Drive outbound engagement with high-potential targets and close new business across priority verticals to fuel steady pipeline growth
• Balance strategic outbound prospecting with the proactive conversion of smaller opportunities to hit and exceed monthly pipeline goals
• Manage inbound opportunities by quickly qualifying leads, assessing needs, and positioning the right solutions
• Proactively pursue and close lower-value targets within the assigned vertical to build a consistent pipeline
• Meet or exceed individual sales quota, ensuring deals align with the <$18K/year target (or land-and-expand trajectory)
• Conduct product demos and presentations to prospective customers, tailoring messaging to their business needs
• Negotiate contract terms and close sales opportunities while maintaining strong customer relationships
