About the role
- Support a Department of Defense customer applying analytical techniques to evaluate program objectives, including status analysis of requirements, budget, and schedule
- Collect, complete, organize, and interpret data relating to aircraft, weapon, and project acquisition and product programs
- Track project status and perform management, technical, and business case analyses
- Coordinate and participate in working groups, meetings, and conferences with PMA, PEO, Navy and military services offices
- Support planning activities, present alternative funding/acquisition strategies and cost estimates, and enter planning data in CSPT or appropriate tools
- Analyze and provide recommendations for TOC, Should Cost, CAIV and LCC evaluations
- Provide analyses of projected and actual systems cost, support engineering/logistics/test/integration efforts, and recommend product improvement initiatives
- Perform cost/benefit, cost trade-off, business case, cost variance, and present value analyses to support acquisition documentation
- Review program progress, track vendor contract deadlines, and identify potential schedule/resource issues with contractor solutions
- Analyze EVM data, IBRs, performance management data, fiscal planning documentation, reporting and performance metrics
- Provide input and adjudicate comments on CDRLs
- Prepare meeting agendas, attend IPT and contractor meetings, and prepare/distribute meeting minutes
- Collect and distribute action items, maintain an issue/action item database, and track items to closure
- Develop and disseminate weekly status reports on fielding and deployments to government and industry
- Coordinate with NAVAIR Public Affairs Office for media inquiries and program information release
- Assess platform prime’s subcontract award timing and flow-downs and identify risks impacting cost, schedule, and performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Five years (5) years of experience performing duties and responsibilities described
- Experience utilizing NAVAIR management tools
- Experience developing acquisition strategies
- Experience developing and executing integrated Government schedules
- Experience developing, managing and executing budget and phasing plans
- Experience with cost and performance trades
- SECRET Clearance is required
