About the role
- Lead National Retail Execution: Manage all aspects of retail operations, ensuring timely and consistent service delivery that meets client expectations and business goals.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Client Solutions, Business Operations, Analytics, and other Acosta/Mosaic teams to design and optimize retail service models.
- Team Leadership & Development: Coach and mentor the Retail Operations team through ongoing feedback and formal performance evaluations, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Business Development Support: Collaborate with the Business Development team to support new client acquisition and growth initiatives, including participation in Top-to-Top meetings.
- Operational Efficiency: Champion data-driven decision-making to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Industry Leadership: Serve as a role model for Acosta’s values and operating philosophy, building strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams to elevate the company’s reputation in the retail industry.
- Oversee retail merchandising activities nationwide and lead implementation of best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years in sales or marketing roles with increasing responsibility.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a team.
- Proven success in a senior management role within a food broker or major national packaged goods company.
- Strategic thinker with a strong ability to build consensus across teams.
- Proficient in retail operations software and tools.
- Passion for leveraging innovative technologies to enhance retail execution.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and marketing data to guide team direction.
- Exceptional communication skills across all levels—executives, clients, and team members.
- Customer-focused with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Solid understanding of financial management principles and the ability to monitor and control expenses.
- Ability to clearly communicate company goals, values, and operating philosophy.
- Willingness and ability to travel 40–60% as needed.
- Ability to travel long distances.
- Strong listening and tactile capabilities for field engagement and team interaction.
