About the role
- Represent clients and execute sales and merchandising strategies in Grocery, Gas & Convenience retail channels
- Develop direct sales, merchandising and POS placement to drive volume opportunities and product distribution
- Provide excellent customer service and supply product information to store personnel
- Execute in-store priorities and objectives for an assigned territory and retail special projects
- Handheld reporting and pricing audits
- New item placement and maintaining 100% distribution of existing items
- Ensure adherence to shelving guidelines and plan-o-grams
- Build displays, place point-of-sale material, and negotiate product placement
- Build relationships with store personnel and communicate client promotions and information
Requirements
- Prior territory retail experience is preferred
- Strong relationship and persuasive communication skills
- Organized, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Computer literate and comfortable using digital technology (handheld, camera, etc.)
- Regular access to a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license and safe driving record and able to meet vehicle insurance requirements
- Able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs, stand, bend, reach on a daily basis
- Able to drive for extended periods of time
- Ability to store sample products and racking
- Access to high-speed Internet
