Reporting to the Vice President of Care & Delivery
Support and lead the scheduling team and manage development and implementation of physician and APP schedules
Provide input to internal teams such as Sales, Client Engagement and Practice Management capacity planning
Lead a team to generate and post Physician and APP schedules on a monthly basis across all sites of care (ED, CL, Home, Hospitals, Units, LTC, Clinics)
Utilize predetermined availability to maximize efficiency and meet/exceed target goal parameters
Identify and execute opportunities through enhanced scheduling to improve clinical quality and/or reduce costs
Ensure ongoing maintenance of real-time schedule changes
Assist with formation of facility specific physician panels as part of implementation
Create summaries of coverage progress and remaining deficiencies
Compile capacity/coverage needs by site of care or physician group and summarize progress
Handle escalated physician outreach to resolve capacity and coordinate with clinical leadership
Compile reports from various data sources as needed by leadership
Share feedback on scheduling tool with technology leadership to drive improvements
Collaborate with scheduling leaders across other service lines to share best practices
Coach and mentor direct reports, providing a strong employee experience
Provide direct supervision of staff including assignment of work tasks, coaching and performance management
Administer progressive discipline and conduct formal performance appraisals
Manage payroll activities for direct reports including timekeeping and approval for time off requests
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
At least 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years’ physician scheduling or workforce management related experience
Prior management experience preferred
Highly effective communication skills (written and oral)
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with an emphasis on hitting key deliverables/dates
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Understanding of provider scheduling
Able to act decisively and maintain discretion
Detail oriented
Ability to collaborate across multiple cross-functional teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and general computer skills
Proven ability to thrive in a high growth, fast-paced organization and Remote based environment
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Occasional travel for meetings and collaboration
Experience supervising staff and performing performance management, coaching, and payroll/timekeeping duties
