Provide practice leadership and act as a thought leader within the Economics Strategy practice.
Lead multiple consulting project teams, manage client relationships, and plan team work and deliverables.
Contribute individual expertise to problem solving on technical, project and client management issues.
Develop research methodologies, systematic literature reviews, primary research design, and approaches to data analysis.
Specify and apply quantitative economic models and econometric models; draft and review client deliverables and present to clients and public audiences.
Lead large and cross-practice teams, leveraging expertise across AI, data governance, and digital transformation.
Ensure communications quality: client-ready proposals, research reports, presentation materials.
Support team leadership, talent development, mentorship, and build a high-performing practice.
Ensure regulatory and internal compliance, operational excellence, and implement quality assurance and risk management on projects.
Monitor billability, productivity and financial performance; anticipate and manage project risks and interdependencies.
Build strong client relationships, deliver client value, and support strategic growth of the practice.
Requirements
A degree in economics, public policy, statistics or other relevant discipline from a reputable university.
A post-graduate qualification (Masters or PhD) would be highly regarded, although not essential.
Substantive experience working with senior decision-makers, often at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, an economics advisory firm, or in a senior public sector role.
Substantive experience leading people in direct reporting relationships, or as part of discrete projects.
Strong capability to influence stakeholders at all levels and to adapt communication to the audience.
Demonstrable subject matter expertise in economics and its relevance to the digital economy, international trade, economic and industry development, and labour and skills.
Solid background in economics and econometrics.
Strong structured research and analysis skills, and deep understanding of quantitative and qualitative analysis tools and techniques.
Proficiency with statistical packages such as R, Python, EViews, and Stata would be highly regarded.
Strong written and verbal communications skills; experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
Project management, client relationship management, and quality assurance experience.
